Project Overview
Drifter is a puzzle platform game where players take on the role of a detective exploring a mysterious mansion. The game challenges players to solve a series of text-based puzzles to progress to different platforms and interfaces, unlocking mechanisms along the way. Each puzzle encourages the player to observe in-game clues carefully and make full use of them to uncover hidden truths.
Set in a noir-themed world, Drifter‘s plot develops as the player moves through the game, gradually revealing the mystery behind the mansion. The combination of narrative-driven puzzle-solving and platforming mechanics creates an immersive detective experience, requiring players to think critically and pay close attention to detail.
I served as the team leader, game designer, programmer, and tile artist, managing both the creative and technical aspects of the project. This included designing the puzzles and levels using Tiled, programming the game in Phaser, and ensuring that the noir aesthetic and atmosphere complemented the gameplay experience.
